Going DEEP For Street Food in Morocco - BREAKFAST Tour of Marrakech!

In Marrakech, there is a ton of amazing street food on every street
corner. We travelled to Morocco solely to eat, and chose Marrakech
because we heard the food is amazing and that the people are friendly.
When we arrived, we started to explore the souq alleyways near Jama El
Fna square in downtown Marrakech. What you can find in the souqs will
blow you away. There is so many different Moroccan street foods to try.
We quickly discovered that Morocco has some of the best street food in
the world. So tasty!

First up, we found a friendly Bissara soup vendor who let us film this
street food vlog and was happy to serve us. The Bissara soup is a fava
bean aka broadbean soup served with bread for breakfast. It was scooped
out of a big pot and served by bowl to all the hungry locals. This man
was definitely a character, and super friendly too. He gave all the
local Moroccans a free bowl if they couldn't afford it.

Next, we went for another local street food in Morocco, the Hassowa. It
was a super strong, almost spicy soup made from oregano and semolina.
The man who served this street food in Marrakech had served this for 16
years in the streets of the old Medina in Marrakech.

After this, we went for more Moroccan breakfast and ordered a Msemen
moroccan flatbread. It was served with a ton of butter and honey and was
super oily yet crispy at the same time. The lady who cooked it was also
very friendly and was making a ton of the msemen for the hungry locals!

For our next breakfast meal, we enjoyed a truly classic Moroccan
breakfast street food, the Khlea. The Khlea is a moroccan omelette made
with 2 or 3 eggs and a few slices of Khlea preserved beef with smen
moroccan preserved butter. It was super heavy and a little salty from
the butter and beef.

And for our final meal, while not quite breakfast, was a Moroccan tajine
made with beef and carrots and potato and zuchinni, found right on the
street!

The addresses for the street food locations found in this street food
vlog are below:

1) Bissara soup vendor: Bab doukkala area of Marrakech. You can find a
ton of guys around the wall in the morning selling it.

2) Hassowa soup vendor: Near the Jama El Fna square of old Marrakech.
This one was just a lucky find, you gotta go deep into the alleyways to
find stuff like this.

3) Msemen Moroccan flatbread. You can find this one again in the back
alleyways. Right behind the olive guys at the back of the Jama El Fna
square in the morning for breakfast.

4) Khlea egg omelette with preserved beef and smen butter. We found this
one at a local cafe called Zeitoun Cafe AKA the olive cafe in the
Medina of Marrakech.. I must admit it was a little tourist and maybe
less DEEP than other places, but the omelette was nice and tasty.

5) Delicious Moroccan Tajine DEEP in the streets. This one was also near
the Bab doukkala area of Marrakech. You can find a street full of
restaurants selling everything from these tajines to grilled BBQ fish
and more. It was amazing!

Nasi Ayam Istimewa

Nasi Ayam Istimewa Azie Kitchen
Oleh: Azie Kitchen

Bahan Ayam
1 ekor ayam - pilih saiz besar
3 ulas bawang putih - tumbuk halus
3 sudu besar madu
2 - 3 sudu besar sos tiram Maggi atau secukupnya
1 sudu besar kicap pekat
1 sudu besar minyak bijan
1 sudu besar Maggi Cukup Rasa atau secukupnya
Sedikit serbuk lada sulah - opsyenal

Cara cara:
Masak air yang banyak hingga mendidih. Setelah mendidih, baru dimasukkan ayam.

Bahan Nasi
3-4 pot beras
1 sudu kecil serbuk kunyit
Rempah penumis - 3 sekawan
1 kiub pati ayam Maggi
1-2 helai daun pandan
Lemak ayam secukupnya

Bahan tumbuk:
3 ulas bawang putih
2 inci halia

Cara cara:

Kemudian masukkan air secukupnya. Biasanya sukatan air sama dengan sukatan beras yang digunakan. Masukkan kiub pati ayam dan pindahkan ke dalam rice cooker dan masak lah seperti biasa.

Sambal Cili

Bahan bahan:
5 tangkai cili yang saiz panjang - kalau saiz biasa guna 10
1-2 biji buah tomato - bergantung kepada saiz
2 sudu besar cuka
2 sudu kecil serbuk perasa Maggi Cukup Rasa
2 sudu besar gula pasir

Hiris bawang dan tomato, kemudian dikisar hancur. Tapi jangan terlalu hancur pula.

Seven Benefits of Garlic

For millennia people have used garlic for various culinary and medicinal purposes, but many of the benefits of garlic have been lost or are unknown to the average person in modern society. See how many of these uses you know and/or can apply in your own life.
Garden Pests- Garlic can be used for garden pest control either by planting it strategically, in a system know as companion planting, or by mixing cloves with pepper and liquid soap to use as a pesticide. Either way it can be an effective repellent in the garden.
Mosquitoes- Other pests that garlic can repel are mosquitoes. It is said that something in the plant's compounds is actually harmful to them, and therefore they avoid it. You can either place cloves of garlic in areas where there are mosquitoes, or put extracts on the exposed parts of your skin.
Pet Pests- Your pets can get protection from garlic too. Fleas, ticks and other parasites do not like garlic. Making sure there is plenty of garlic in your pets diet can go a long way to protecting them. Some brands of pet food include dehydrated garlic, make sure to check the labels. Protect your pet from insects by making sure they have a steady diet that includes plenty of garlic.
Worms and Parasites- Humans are not immune from parasites. In addition to repelling pests elsewhere, there are health benefits of garlic too. It has been confirmed by scientific studies that over time, garlic has been shown to kill tapeworm, roundworm, hookworm, and pinworm.
Skin Care- With antibacterial properties and an ability to equalizes blood circulation, garlic on the skin can be used as a cleanser, and as such can help with acne and other skin ailments. Caution should be taken to an area of the skin tested for sensitivity before general use.
Circulatory Health- Eating garlic can be beneficial for your heart. In addition to equalizing blood circulation, it helps to lower blood pressure, lowers cholesterol and triglycerides, and can counteract the effect of smoking on blood pressure.
Diabetes- Garlic can also lower blood-sugar levels helping people with diabetes. It stimulates the pancreas to produce insulin, which is the hormone that controls sugar usage, and binds chemical receptors that would deactivate the insulin.
There are many other benefits of garlic which you would be wise to discover, but those mentioned here should be enough to show why garlic is something that can be beneficial to everyone.

Garlic Benefits: Studies Show 7 Health and Beauty Gains

It has been said that all current drugs and medications are simply versions of herbs and foods that can be patented by the drug companies. These herbs have been freely used throughout history for their healing benefits. The biggest jewel in the crown of all medicinal herbs is garlic. Recent studies are confirming and substantiating it's power.
The ingredient in garlic that gives it its medicinal qualities is allicin. Garlic is also high in sulfur and the vitamins B6, C and B1. Garlic was once known as "Russian Penicillin" because of its ability to act as a natural antibiotic against bacteria, viruses, fungus and colds, as well as its ability to strengthen the body to prevent overall disease.
1. Garlic Prevents the Common Cold - "Advances in Therapy" Journal
This study included 146 people who received either a placebo or an allicin-containing garlic supplement for 12 weeks. The participants recorded any common cold symptoms and infections in a daily diary. At the end of the study, there were 63% less colds in the garlic group and they recovered much faster when infected - in an average of 1.5 days versus 5 days.
This research also showed that those taking the placebo were much more likely to get more than one cold over the treatment period. The researchers concluded that: "An allicin-containing supplement can prevent attack by the common cold virus."
2. Garlic Gel for Recurrent Hair Loss - "Indian Journal of Dermatology"
In order to determine the effectiveness of a garlic gel applied to the scalp for recurrent hair loss, researchers divided the participants into two groups. One group used a garlic gel for three months and the other used a placebo. In addition, both groups used a steroid cream on the scalp. The size of the patches and overall state of the hair was recorded each month.
At the end of the study, very good responses were observed in the garlic group. The study showed that the use of a garlic gel significantly added to the therapeutic benefits from the steroid cream and that it's an effective hair loss remedy.
3. Heavy Metals in the Body Detoxified by Garlic - "Basic Clinical Toxicology"
Workers at a car battery industry with chronic lead poisoning were used in this study. The workers were split into two groups: One that received allicin from garlic three times a day and the other group received the drug d-penicillamine. At the end of the four week study, the symptoms of lead poisoning were examined. The researchers reported significant improvement in the garlic group including less irritability, fewer headaches, better tendon reflexes and lower blood pressure. None of these benefits were seen in the d-penicillamine group.
4. Dietary Garlic Prevents Hip Arthritis - "Musculoskeletal Disorders" Journal
1,000 healthy female twins participated in this study. The team of researchers recorded the details of the diets of the twins and compared these with x-ray images that showed the degree of osteoarthritis development in the hips, spine and knees.
Their discovery was that a high intake of vegetables and fruits, particularly those high in sulfur such as garlic and onions, resulted in lower signs of the beginnings of osteoarthritis in the hip.
Dr Frances Williams, lead author of the study from King's College London, said: "... These findings may point the way towards future treatments and prevention of hip osteoarthritis."
5. Aged Garlic Extract Lowers Blood Pressure - "Maturitas" (the European Menopause Journal)
This study followed 50 patients over a 12 week treatment period. The patients were being treated with medication for high blood pressure, but it remained high and uncontrolled. The results showed that an aged garlic extract was effective in lowering blood pressure for patients with uncontrolled hypertension.
6. Garlic Enhances Exercise Tolerance - "Indian Journal of Physiology"
In a study of 30 patients with heart disease, treadmill tests were to examine their exercise capacity. After the initial test, they were given garlic oil capsules daily for six weeks. When the test was repeated, it was shown that the garlic had greatly improved their heart rate at peak exercise and had also reduced the work load on the heart. This gave the patients better exercise tolerance and ability.
7. Garlic Lowers Risk of Lung Cancer by 44% - "Cancer Prevention Research"
In this 7-year study, researchers at a medical center in China interviewed 1,424 lung cancer patients and also 4,543 healthy people. They were asked questions about their diet, smoking and how often they ate garlic. Raw garlic consumption of 2 times or more per week was found to be associated with a 44% prevention of lung cancer. For those in the study who smoked, the risk of lung cancer was still reduced by about 30% for those who ate the raw garlic.
How to Take Garlic
Garlic is best eaten raw. Some tasty ways to receive the benefits of garlic include adding it to homemade salsa, guacamole, salad dressings, pasta sauce, in mashed potatoes, and mixed with butter and then spread on bread. It can also be added to vegetable smoothies and hot vegetable dishes.
If raw garlic causes any stomach upset, there are many garlic supplements available that contain good amounts of allicin.

Garlic and Onion Health Benefits Are Life-Sustaining - What About Green Garlic And Green Onion?

Garlic and onions, especially the sweeter and milder-tasting shallots, are listed among the world's healthiest foods. It costs you next to nothing for the huge benefits in return - that is, if you are consistent about eating them on a daily basis. Apart from their use as minced garlic or onion to flavor a dish, here are 2 recipes with the 2 allium bulbs as the main ingredient.
Pickled Garlic Recipe
For a start, a 'Sweet and Sour Garlic ' recipe by a Chinese lady chef is about pickling peeled heads of garlic cloves twice; first, in vinegar for 3 weeks, then in a mixture of light and thick soy sauce, for another 3 weeks. In each instance, the pickle jar must be covered with a lid. The sweet and sour garlic pickle is a good accompanying dish for rice or congee, and is said to be good for rheumatism and excess water in your body.
Garlic Benefits
Researching on the works of Indian health experts on garlic benefits, I gather that daily eating of raw garlic cloves, instead of garlic tablets, capsules or supplements is a sure remedy for problems related to your stomach, lungs and heart. This is all because of its powerful antioxidants that can defeat every disease that assail you.
Oven Roasted Onion Recipe
Next, my first encounter with the round, flat Italian cipollini onion, a good red shallot substitute, was in an upscale supermarket; it came, with no fanfare, but only a little note of a 'Roasted Cipollini Onions' recipe.
About 500 grams of these onions have to be roasted twice, first in a covered dish for 20 minutes, followed by another 20 minutes with the dish, uncovered. Coated with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and honey, the cipollinis are seasoned with fresh thyme, salt and pepper.
Onion Benefits
This small onion, belied by its mild flavor, has great health benefits. In fact, all onions, eaten raw everyday, are good for your heart, eyes and joints owing to their efficacious antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cholesterol, and anti-cancer properties.
However, if you are no fan of the bulbous garlic nor onion, all is not lost; just go for the green correspondences, that is, the green onion or shallot and green garlic.
Green Onion
As you know, the green onion or shallot has a long green stalk and a small bulb, both of which comprise the young shoot of the bulb onion. Its counterpart, the green garlic resembles the green onion in many ways, except that it has a bigger bulb at the end.
To turn around a cold with body aches, boil a few slices of ginger with the entire green onion, stalk and bulb for five minutes for tea. In fact, in Chinese alternative medicine, there is a book on the marvels of garlic, green onions and ginger to treat all kinds of diseases imaginable.
Further, chopped green onions or shallots are more than a garnish; these greens help you feel sated after a meal. Moreover, you will relish a stir-fry, stew or soup with just a generous sprinkle. Besides, worries on the brain, go down better with soup - and some green onions, which happen to be a rich source of Vitamin K, an emerging nutrient in brain function.
Green Garlic
On the other hand, garlic greens add a mild, garlicky flavor to dishes; and they are great in a stew or soup with baby carrots, white beans and fennel; or in a fettucine alfredo with lots of vegan cream, butter and cheese, and broccoli.
Louis Diat is partially right; without garlic - and onions -you simply would not care to live.
Feeding plants leads naturally to an interest in trees; just as wholesome home feeding, to whole foods, natural remedies and a plant-based diet. This briefly encapsulates the natural world of Kez Sze, author, publisher and researcher.

Natural Diabetes Cure - Onion For Diabetes Treatment

A natural diabetes cure that is beneficial is known as onion for diabetes treatment. Onion is well known for its effectiveness against a variety of conditions that include the common cold, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, and other diseases.
Onion contains chemical compounds that are believed to have anti-cholesterol, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties like quercetin. The onion shows a single vertical shoot above the ground, while the bulb grows underground; it is a close relative of garlic.
A natural diabetes cure has found that onion has a significant blood sugar lowering action and the main active ingredient is known as allyl propyl disulphide (APDS) as well as diallyl disulphide oxide (allicin).
APDS has the ability to lower blood sugar levels and increase insulin. Other benefits of onion are its cardiovascular effects, have the ability to lower lipid levels, are antihypertensive, and can inhibit platelet aggregation. Onions are essential for diabetes treatment.
How onions lower blood sugar is not exactly known, however research has shown that the properties of onion can block the breakdown of insulin in the liver that prevents the destruction of insulin. Therefore, this means that the body will have higher levels of insulin, which is essential for people with diabetes.
Onion for diabetes treatment has been used since ancient times; it makes no difference whether the onion is eaten raw or cooked. Onions (Allium cepa) belong to the lily family, which is the same family as garlic, chives, leeks, and shallots.
Onion is a natural diabetes cure that contains a number of sulphides that are similar to those that are found in garlic, these are known to lower blood lipids and blood pressure.
Following is a recipe for a natural diabetes cure that contains onion:
Onion and Potato Pie
Ingredients:
500g Onions, finely sliced
1kg of potatoes, peeled and finely sliced
1 tablespoon of oil
125g of grated cheddar cheese
15g of butter
2 tablespoons of chopped parsely
2 tablespoons of chopped chives
Salt and pepper to season
Method:
1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan (one that can be placed under the grill), place a layer of potato, onion and cheese and repeat ending with a layer of potato, season in between each layer
2. Reduce the heat, cover and cook for 30 minutes. Remove and place the butter over the potato and place under a preheated grill for a further 10 minutes or until browned
3. Remove pie from pan and slice into wedges, top a mix of parsley and chives, serve with a fresh green salad
It is essential for diabetics to implement onions into their diabetes treatment plan, as this natural diabetes cure can help you to achieve optimum health.

10 Benefits of Ginger Root - Relieve the Pain With The Amazing Benefits of Ginger

Ginger root is a lovely tasting herb that comes with many important health benefits. Ginger originates from Asian and Indian cultures, whom are amazingly in-tune with alternative medicine and connecting with the natural remedies provided by nature.
Ginger can be taken as a tea, supplement, or you can cut fresh ginger root and add it to salads, dehydrate it for a healthy snack, or enjoy it with sushi. It has a great tasting flavor that adds some spice to whatever dish you want. Another great way is adding ginger to fresh juices. It goes really well with carrot juice, or lemonade.
My personal favorite is taking it in a powder form in conjunction with other healthy herbs, but I also love snacking on dehydrated ginger, and using it in juices.
Here are 10 Benefits of Ginger Root that will help heal your body and relieve pain:
1) Helps The Digestive System
2) Lowers Cholesterol
3) Naturally Relieves Headaches -- Typically Migraines
4) Helps with Nausea and Morning Sickness
5) Greatly Helps with Circulation and Relaxes Muscles
6) Anti-Inflammatory and Relieves Arthritis and Other Joint Pains
7) Boosts the Immune System
8) Prevents Blood Clots
9) Helps Treat Ulcers
10) Cleanses Toxins in the body and aids the Liver
Ginger Root has also been studied in helping women in relieving menstrual cramps, ovarian and breast-cancer. My wife has confirmed that when she's regularly taking ginger, her menstrual cycles are far less painful and less heavy.
The Liver
A lot of my studies have been on the liver, and just how important they are to our bodies and good health. Our livers are responsible for so much that we absolutely must become more aware of how to keep it healthy. Our livers break down all our foods, cleanses the toxins in our bodies, processes all of our sensory input, and is our heat-furnace. It's the only organ in the body that can regenerate.
Our livers are extremely abused in our society, and ginger root can play an important role in helping heal our livers and keeping them strong.
Bonus Tip!
The best way to take, and receive, the awesome benefits of Ginger Root [http://www.what-is-personal-growth.com/green-superfood.html] is in powder form in conjunction with other healing herbs. You can find high amounts in a quality, green super food powder to detox and heal the body.
